Elysha's Upside-Down Daisy Hat

Here's what I managed to knit up in one evening. I still have 5 Daisy petals to knit up and applique. I want to get a different yarn with microfiber as called for in the pattern, coz this Rowan all cotton yarn doesn't seem poofy enough. Stay tuned!

Another irresistable hat from itty-bitty hats. I was cracking my head thinking of someone with a baby girl to knit this for. Congratulations Boon and Cheryl, on the birth of Elysha! I'm so happy for you.

Now I have good reason to knit this up, coz I've already stashed yarn for the project! hee..

Here's another Fall WIP. The hat's too cute, and I found discounted yarn for it with just the right gauge. I'm knitting it for 3 year-old D.

Single Cable Scarf

I bought this yarn because it was on clearance and is the same colour and shade as a Todd tote I own. The pattern is for the Single Cable Scarf from One Skein by Leigh Radford.

I altered the 4/4 Left Cable Pattern to a 5/5 to make the cable more prominent. That meant a 10 row repeat instead of 8, as called for by the pattern. I'm quite pleased with the way it's turning out, even though it's not the best yarn I've handled. This project was more for the colour of the yarn and the affordability!

This was really fun to knit up. My hubby was intrigued by the description of this pattern and suggested it as a gift for his professor at Seminary (who's a big Sci-fi fanatic!) It was the first time he had ever shown any interest in my knitting, and I was only too pleased to do it for him. I hope Mr Z likes it. kw

Beehive Cap

Beehive Cap
Originally uploaded by Knutty Knitter.

My second hat project - a beehive cap. I knit 2, one each for R and E. The second one knit on a smaller needle fit E perfectly, but this first one for R, I think, is too big and loose. I may have to do it over. I found bumble bee buttons at JoAnns.
